The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have pushed up the rate of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one organization is taking benefit of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
