The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have pressed up the price of oil, the issue of discovering alternative of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one organization is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
